Trip to Yilan

Posted on:

Henry and his parents have a 5-days weekend due to the Ching-Ming festival (the day where w clean the cemetery of our ancestral).  We drove to Yilan and stayed their overnight at the homestay.  Unfortunately, it rain on both days in Yilan.  However, we were able to squeeze in a difficult hike and an easy stroll at a beautiful lake called Mei Hua Hu (Mei Hua Lake).  As with any trips, we usually eat more than we expand so both Henry and I gain some more weight:(

This was also Ethan’s first overnight trip. I was afraid that he would not sleep through the night and his sleep/wake schedule will be off.  Fortunately, we get plenty of naps during the day (because he is either dozing off in the car or in the sling, which he loves very much).  Now that we have survived this trip with Ethan, we are prepared for our 3 days/2 night trip in Hualien for our triathlon race in May.

We figured a easy way to make Ethan smile. We go "up" and "down" like a squat motion.
